Innovative Approach to a Master's in Higher Education Administration

Become a transformative leader by earning a master's in higher education administration.

Whether you are a recent college graduate, working higher ed professional or degreed individual seeking a career transition, Baldwin Wallace's Leadership in Higher Education (LHE) program is engaging, real-world focused and comprehensive.

BW's LHE program uniquely integrates both academic affairs and student life. You'll complete two substantially different one-year internships covering both academic affairs and student life - a key advantage for career exploration and employment.

Flexible, Integrated Higher Education Administration Degree

  • Full-time students complete two distinct internships on BW's campus or at a nearby college during this two-year program.
  • Part-time students already working in professional roles at higher education institutions complete internships on their own campuses.
  • Coursework includes synergetic combination of theory with practical application on topics like student development, campus diversity, college outcomes, ethical decision-making, funding and finance, staff development and marketing.
  • Cohort-style program and strong faculty-student mentoring foster personal, academic and career support.

“I loved all three of my campus internships and supervisors. I consider them mentors and they have continued to support my higher ed journey post-graduation. Since accepting a full-time role at BW, I have had countless opportunities to work alongside them in various capacities, which is humbling.”

“The intentionality behind the integration of the internship and practicum experience makes the LHE program distinct from others. Each experiential opportunity I had, whether it was in academic or student affairs, directly related to the theoretical-based learning that took place in the classroom.”
