Baldwin Wallace inducts nine new members of the Athletics Hall of Fame
A Saturday induction and celebration made it official for the 2022 class of exceptional Yellow Jackets.
Nine new members were inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University Athletics Alumni Association Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 15, during a special ceremony prior to the annual Hall of Fame football game between BW and Muskingum University.
Members of the elite group of Yellow Jackets were also introduced to cheers from the crowd between the first and second quarters of the gridiron action.
2022 Inductees
The newest inductees bring the total number of Yellow Jackets for Life (#yj4l) honored with induction into the Hall of Fame to 369.
This year's honorees are:
- Tanya Davis Konyesni - softball
- Brandon Hedges - football and track and field
- Michael G. Hritz - honorary
- Sara Gombash Lampe - swimming and diving
- Jimmy Leffler - baseball
- Greg Patrick - track and field
- Christian Riemenschneider - football
- Dirk Riemenschneider - football
- Linda Short - honorary
Recognizing exceptional achievements
The Athletics Alumni Association Hall of Fame was established in 1965 to recognize exceptional achievements and impact on the Brown & Gold by an athlete, administrator or coach, team or honorary.
The BW Department of Athletics, Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement and the Brown and Gold Club sponsor Hall of Fame accolades each year.
